Atlas Copco’s relocation was facilitated by a fit-out company, transitioning them from their initial headquarters in Hemel to a new nearby building housing both offices and production units. The fit-out was cutting-edge, and Anchor collaborated closely with the fit-out company to design a security system that would enhance the new head office environment. This system encompassed CCTV, access control, and alarms.
The project included the installation and integration of personnel speed gates in the reception area, in collaboration with the access control system. This setup aimed to create an attractive and secure access environment for visitors. Moreover, a customized and powder-coated Intercom post was installed and equipped with Video Intercom, seamlessly connected to the access control system. Noteworthy, a multi-format reader was employed for access control, allowing staff to use a single ID card or fob across various systems such as other buildings and printers.
The project was completed in multiple phases spanning several months, culminating in a well-implemented and fully functional system that met the requirements of different departments in the building. Early consultations with the client and the flexibility to accommodate design modifications and additions throughout the project contributed to a successful result for all stakeholders. Furthermore, Anchor has been retained for ongoing system maintenance.
